Chromstar® Series Preamps


The Winegard Chromstar® 2000 Series Preamplifiers feature 75 or 300 ohm input for greater convenience and easier installation. The versatile, universal housing can be used with any off-air TV antenna on the market. It is constructed of tough, high impact ABS material and mast mounted for easier installation. Flexible polyethylene boot covers on the 75 ohm and a hinged cover on the 300 ohm models keep connections clean, dry and protected from the weather. The steel hardware is zinc plated. All mounting hardware included.

The preamp features a selectable FM trap that reduces FM signals (88 - 108 MHz) - 15 dB to prevent overload from strong local stations, and a tunable FM trap that reduces a 3 MHz band width by -12 dB. Both are adjustable -- selectable without opening the housing.

Transistor burn-out is virtually eliminated with specialized circuitry featuring an ultra-fast recovery diode that protects against lightning-caused pulses. Operating temperatures are -40° to +140&degF.

Surface mounted components are 1/10th the size of leaded components resulting in a more compact amplifier. The components are fastened more securely to the printed circuit board with little chance of breaking loose during shipping or severe weather. 117 VAC UL and CSA approved power supply is included.
